Keep Me Close

by Alexis Devlin

I made this piece with the intention to memorialize my future self. The box was designed to be reminiscent of a coffin. The outside remains sweet and small, while the inside is a more personal experience. This object is meant to be tucked away and cherished by its future owner, whether it be kept in a pocket, or displayed in a special place. Keep me close represents the want to be remembered. The honey bees are a representation of death, but are also hinting at the idea of a colony or family.
